Throughout Melody’s 10+ years of experience in the grants field, she has gained extensive knowledge in how to build authentic and honest relationships with funders including government agencies, foundations, and corporations. The majority of her clients are small-to-mid sized nonprofits working from within communities that have historically had less access to wealth, power, and resources and cannot rely upon existing relationships/funding streams. The result has been nearly $20 million in grant funding for clients, the bulk of which has been first-time funding or dramatic increases in funding. Melody is committed to building caring, equitable, and thriving communities by helping nonprofits increase capacity and create stable, diverse revenue streams. Her background as an educator gives her a unique perspective that she brings to her current role as a Nonprofit Grant Consultant: Disseminating valuable information about nonprofit organizations and their programming to potential funders while also giving clients the tools they need to propel their organizations to the next level.
